How To Accept Christ

Are you ready to change your life?

Most world religions preach a message of kindness, respect, and the understanding that we are all children of God. But you might be surprised to learn that, according to the Bible, this isn’t the case. The Scriptures say that only those who have received Christ into their hearts can be saved and adopted as children of God. The rest of us, because of our sinful nature, are simply “God’s creation” and await a final judgment that will condemn us to an eternity separated from God

(John 1:12 ) “However, to all who received him (Christ), those believing in his name, he gave authority to become God’s children,” 

Don’t believe me? Ask yourself these questions:

Have you ever lied? Stolen? Have you watched pornography, fornicated, or desired with a deep passion what others have?

If you’re a human being, you are most likely as guilty as I am. These are just a few of the Ten Commandments that are written on your heart (or conscience), and they are a witness to why you cannot be in God’s presence right now.

But God himself gives us a solution in His Word.

 (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” 

These are some of the scriptures I couldn’t ignore when I was searching for eternal life

• Everyone has sinned. (Romans 3:10, 23)

• The penalty for sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

• Jesus paid our debt on the cross. (Romans 5:8)

• We are saved by faith, believing with our hearts and confessing with our mouths. (Romans 10:9, 10)

• Call on the Lord and you will be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Because of His love for you, God sent Jesus to die on the cross, paying the price for your sins. This frees you from your past, no matter how dark, and all you need to do is surrender to Christ and follow His word in the Bible

If you want to ask Jesus into your heart, pray this out loud: 

“God, I confess that I am a sinner and I need the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for my sins to cleanse me today. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the only true living God, who died, was burried and resurrected on the third day. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and Master. I surrender my life to you, Jesus.”

Now that you have taken this step of faith, God will begin to reveal Himself with power through the Holy Spirit in your life.
