Everything You Will Ever Need

(2 Peter 1:3-4)  “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the full knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.   Through these he has given us his precious and wonderful promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, seeing that you have escaped the corruption that is in the world caused by evil desires.”

(1 John 2:27)  “The anointing you received from God abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you this. Instead, because God’s anointing teaches you about everything and is true and not a lie, abide in him, as he taught you to do.”

God does not only call us to be Holy, but He actually provides all the tools we will ever need to succeed in this calling. Through knowing Jesus Christ as our savior we are equipped to live a life of godliness, to do good, to be sacrificial, to always obey God’s commandments, and never ever to fall again into our old sinful ways.

This is what His Word tells us, and God does not lie. He will never call us to do something knowing beforehand that we will fail at it; that would not be fair. Now, there is the instance when you might think you are in God’s will and fail, or not realize that the timing and season have passed.

The promises God has given us in the Bible allow us to partake of His divine nature. In other words, we are no longer affected or weak by the sinful desires of the world. We do not worry or stress or quarrel about the things the unbelievers do, and we have a supernatural peace about all things concerning our future. Is this your case?

If it is then, you have truly experienced Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. If you continually fall and fail in living a godly life, then you have probably never truly known Christ and you are still trying to please God in your own strength.

If you continue to hold God’s hand, His anointing will guide you and teach you all things needed to succeed in life and holiness. He will warn you when you are about to make wrong choices or speak the wrong words, when you are moving around in the wrong crowd, when you watch the wrong things on TV, when you eat the wrong food and when you are about to be misled by the devil.

All things will be taught to you by the Holy Spirit who knows all truth and weighs all the intentions of the heart. By this anointing, we can recognize the lies from the truth and avoid deception. Does that mean that we have to totally ignore our leaders in ministry? No, of course not, as they are part of God’s agents to teach us and warn us.

(“Start looking at what He has given you to work with: His name, which is His ‘Power of Attorney’; His Word, which ‘shall not return to Him void’; and His blood, ‘which gives you access into His presence day and night.’”- Bob Gass)

• Heavenly Father, we yearn for the light of Your countenance. Lord, You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. You are the Lord who fills the heaven and earth.
• Thank you that we have all we need to succeed in our walk with You. That you have prepared all the power, strength, and self-control needed to live a holy life.
• Forgive us for trying to live a holy life on our own and not depending on your provision.
• We declare that we are partakers of Your divine nature and are not controlled by sin.
• Because of the anointing that lives in us we are wise to separate what is true and what is a lie.
• We cancel and reject any thoughts or plans right now that are contrary to Your truth.
• Thank You for choosing us to be separated from the world and for calling us Yours.
• We declare that we are victorious and holy because we have known Christ and have the Holy Spirit living within us.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen
