God Supplies The Seeds

(2 Corinthians 9:10) “Now he who supplies seed to the farmer and bread to eat will also supply you with seed and multiply it and enlarge the harvest that results from your righteousness.”

(Genesis 1:11-12) “Then God said, ‘Let vegetation sprout all over the earth, including seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each kind containing its own seed!’ And that is what happened: Vegetation sprouted all over the earth, including seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each kind containing its own seed. And God saw that it was good.”

We have become so focused on the harvest, the fruits, and the profit that we have forgotten about the seeds. You must have heard the saying “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.” God is the one who multiplies our effort and prospers all our hands touch. But we seem to forget that first He is the one who gives us the seeds that need to be sown in order to have the abundance we are chasing.

God not only gives us the seeds to sow but tells us where to sow them, when to sow them, and what they will produce. He raises up destiny helpers to make sure we accomplish what He has purposed. He puts favor in people’s hearts towards us so that we receive even before we ask. He makes all the crooked paths straight when we acknowledge Him in all we do. He takes care of everything for us so that all we have to do is to obey and follow Him closely.

Sure God can give us all abundance, healing, and spiritual authority in the blinking of an eye, but He wants us to put our faith into action and His teachings into practice under obedience. The only thing we don’t have to work for is salvation, as this is a gift from God for those that surrender to Christ and repent of their sins.

The First commandment God gave Adam was to work and take care of the garden, He commanded Adam and Eve to go and multiply, and He ordered every seed to bear fruit after its own kind.

We seem to forget that our God is a God of multiplication. He loves to take whatever is available and multiply it for his glory. The five fish and two loaves fed five thousand, the lady that offered her last meal to the prophet never ran out of food, and when Abraham obeyed and offered his only son to God, God made Abraham the spiritual father of all the believers. Hanna gave her only child, Samuel, to God’s service and God used him to ordain the first king of Israel and then David.

If all you have to give God is your voice, if all you have is your talents, if all you have is your tithes, if all you have is your time of prayer, that’s all He needs. Start with what you have and when you see the return on your investment, you will give to God all you have and all you can ever dream of having.

It’s time to stop chasing the fruits and start sowing the seeds God has already given us. Anybody can count the seeds in an apple but only God knows how many apples a single seed will bear.

Prayers

• Father, You are He who bore us on eagle’s wings, the Breaker, The Lord who fights for me.
• Thank You, Father, that you supply all our needs and everything necessary for us to supply for ourselves.
• Forgive us for chasing the fruits instead of using the seeds you are providing.
• We surrender all we have and all we can do to Your service and Your divine purpose.
• Teach us how to plant seeds in fertile ground.
• Guide us on where to go and whom to talk to in order to produce seed.
• We declare that He who supplies seed to the farmer and bread to eat will also supply us with seed and multiply it and enlarge the harvest that results from our righteousness.
• We speak that our God will supply all our needs according to His glorious riches in the Messiah.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
