How Are You Doing?

(Ephesians 3:20) “Now to the one who can do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working among us.“

(Ephesians 4:26-27) “Be angry, yet do not sin. Do not let the sun set while you are still angry, and do not give the devil an opportunity to work.”

(Romans 15:13) “Now may God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace as you believe, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

How do you usually answer to the daily question “How are you doing?” Like most, you probably answer, “Fine, thank you”, or “Good, under the circumstances”. As a Christian, there is a better answer as we are not supposed to be affected by our environment, nor should we be dependent only on what is going on around us, nor are we slaves to any of the lies of Satan. As Christians, no matter what we are facing, our answer should always be something like “I am blessed”, or “It is well”, “we thank God”, or “I am well and moving forward with God’s plan”.

We shouldn’t confess what we feel or hear or see, but we need to confess what God has spoken. It’s time for Christians to stop just surviving or barely making it by each day or month and to start to take over and conquer all areas of life.

It’s time to take control of the situation instead of being pushed around by Satan and his demons. The devil has no power compared to the one who lives inside de you, Jesus. We cannot be like the rest of the world that only focuses on and confesses our problems, but we need to be the ones who bring hope to a hopeless society.

Your faith, your persistence, your obedience, and your submission to God and His Word is powerful enough to change your life. Stop being defeated by things like anger, insults, impatience, insecurity or simply being stubborn in your ways.

Don’t give the devil any more space to work in your life by making you depressed, taking away your faith, and making you confess negative things. Instead, start to speak that God is taking care of all your needs and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than you can think or imagine. That He will never leave you nor forsake you, and that He loves you and knows all you need before you ask Him.

When the devil hears you confess that you are rich while your bank balance is a joke, that you are healed while you are sitting in a wheelchair, that you are blessed while your car won’t start, he will have no other choice but to leave you alone for a season and focus on someone else.

• Father, You are God who always leads us on triumph in Christ, the great King above all gods, Lord, You are greater than all gods.
• Thank You, Father, that You are our source of hope, source of truth, and source of strength.
• Thank You Father that we can stand firm on Your promises.
• Forgive us for looking at the situation instead of looking at all that You can do for us.
• Forgive us for looking and confessing our lack instead of confessing your abundance and blessings in our lives.
• Help us to become a source of hope for everyone that we meet and to help them to come out of their depression.
• We declare that we will be filled with joy and peace as we continue to believe in Your word.
• We declare that by the power of the Holy Spirit we will overflow with hope and infect others with our outlook on life.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
