Learn To Wait With Joy

(Galatians 6:9) “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

(Ecclesiastes 3:11-13) “He made everything appropriate in its time. He also placed eternity within them—yet, no person can fully comprehend what God is doing from beginning to end. I have concluded that the only worthwhile thing for them is to take pleasure in doing good in life; moreover, every person should eat, drink, and enjoy the benefits of everything that he undertakes, since it is a gift from God.”

Every one of us is currently either waiting or receiving. Even if you received what you were waiting for yesterday, today you are already desiring and waiting for more. This is just a part of life and the way we have been created. Either we are sowing and waiting for the fruits, or we are reaping and enjoying all our hard work. The problem arises when we end up getting so frustrated waiting that we forget to enjoy what we have already received.

God knows what is best for you and when is the right time to give it to you. This is part of our Christian walk and how He has designed for our faith to grow. It is by waiting on HIS timing and trusting in HIS ways that we prove our total love and surrender toward Him.

On the other hand, by being anxious and constantly unsatisfied with what God is doing in our lives, we only show ingratitude and a lack of faith that He truly loves us and that He is in total control. God has a due season, or appointed time, which means a specific time when God KNOWS you are ready, and not when you THINK you are ready. No matter how much you huff and puff, he won’t give you the blessings you cannot handle, therefore learn to enjoy the current blessings and be expectant of what He is about to do next through you.

In her great book, “When God, When?”, Joyce Meyer says, “God has taught me to keep living the life I now have, while I am waiting for the things that are in my heart to come to pass. We can become so intent on trying to birth the next thing, that we neither enjoy nor take care of things at hand. I had a vision from God ten years before I began to see it fulfilled. During those years, I believe I missed a lot of joy trying to give birth outside of God’s timing. Learn to enjoy where you are, while you’re waiting to get to where you want to be.”

Bear in mind that until you don’t learn to completely use and enjoy what God has given you, you will not receive the next great thing He has prepared for You. Waiting to receive is also a wonderful place to be, as the one who gives is the creator of the Universe.

Not understanding what God is doing or why He is doing it in a particular time frame, is not your fault, it’s by design and part of His purpose in your life.

• Heavenly Father, You are The Holy Spirit. Spirit of truth. Spirit of grace. Spirit of glory. Spirit of life. Spirit of our father. Spirit of Christ. Spirit of understanding.
• Thank You, Father, that you are the giver and provider of all things.
• Thank You, that if we have asked according to Your will, we will definitely receive.
• Forgive us for being impatient and losing out on the process of waiting on You.
• Forgive us for not enjoying what You have already provided for us by wishing we always had more.
• Give us the faith to trust that in due time, You will make all things perfect for us.
• Teach us how to enjoy every moment and appreciate the daily gifts You are giving us.
• We declare that we will take pleasure in doing good in life, and will enjoy the benefits of all the things we are doing.
• We surrender to Your perfect timing for all things in our lives.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
