Promises Fulfilled

(2 Corinthians 1:20) “For all God’s promises are ‘Yes’ in him. And so through him we can say ‘Amen,’ to the glory of God.”

(Galatians 3:13-14)  “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,’  that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

The very fact that Jesus went to the cross, died, and was raised up on the third day, becomes the foundation of our faith.  We have to realize that Jesus made many promises in the Bible and if He would have failed at this particular one, then we might as well throw the Bible out the window.

But because He fulfilled what He prophesied about His resurrection, we can now stand firm in all the other promises He made for those who have chosen Him as Lord and Saviour.  We can actually believe that He lives inside of us, that He has redeemed us from hell and that He is empowering us to be more than conquerors.  We can believe that He has actually gone to prepare a place for us in heaven and will return to take us to be with Him.

Yes, Jesus will return once again, this time not to die and to be abused and tortured, but to rule and reign with an iron rod over all the earth.  And His sheep will reign alongside Him and will be given authority over cities and nations. The very heart of every promise that we declare every day has been fulfilled once and for all through the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

So if you ever doubt any of God’s promises for you, I encourage you to look beyond your own personal sense of worthiness and fix your eyes upon the work fulfilled on the cross! Jesus secured every one of the promises that God has made in the Bible for YOU!  Simply ask and receive the Holy Spirit and the blessings of Abraham right now, as this is also one of the reasons why Christ came and died on the cross.

So be encouraged my friend, in light of your new birth into the Kingdom of your God and Father, you can now shout out a big “Yes” and “Amen” to every promise that God has made to you.

It is through the promises fulfilled in YOUR life that God has chosen to be glorified and bring others to Him.

 

Prayers

• Father, we thank You for You are good and Your gracious love exists forever.
• Forgive us, Father, for doubting any of the promises in Your Word.
• Forgive us for looking at our personal situation and problems, instead of declaring Your power and authority over every single challenge.
• Teach us how to read and understand Your Word, declare Your promises, walk in Your authority, and enjoy all the blessings prepared for Your children.
• We thank you that Christ took away all the curses that stood against us by hanging on that cross and becoming Himself a curse.
• We declare that every promise in Your Word for us is “YES” and “AMEN”.
• We receive right now all the promises spoken over Abraham through the accepting of the Holy Spirit in our lives today.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
