Serious About Prayer?

(Ezekiel 22:30) “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

(Psalms 106:23) “Therefore he said that he would destroy them, Had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.”

You are dangerous to Satan until your last breath. That is why he is pushing laws for euthanasia. If you have Christ living inside of you, every prayer of yours can make demons flee, move mountains that block the path of missionaries, open the spiritual eyes of those worshipping idols, provide for and strengthen those that serve in ministry, bring hope to the hopeless and set the captives free.

Even if you are a vegetable and can’t even eat or drink on your own, you can still change someone’s life or topple over a government just by praying. This is not a small thing as many go through life, having money, health, and talents, but never do any good for anyone but for themselves.

God moves through our prayers. He doesn’t care if it’s a world-famous preacher who prays, or if it’s a 90-year-old widow, as long as we pray according to His will, through the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus. He is always seeking for those who will intercede and are willing to stop the attacks of Satan and the punishment for breaking God’s Laws.

Moses stood in the gap between God’s wrath and God’s people who had disobeyed Him. He asked for mercy upon them and even offered up His life in order to spare theirs. That is true intercession, true sacrifice, and what actually moves God to change things for us.

When you decide to intercede in prayer, bear in mind that you are asking God to stop the natural causes of death, sin, and rebellion that we have brought upon ourselves. This is powerful and not to be taken lightly unless you are willing to lose everyone and everything in your life, just like Moses was. True prayer warriors know this and that is why God could not find anyone to stand in the gap for His people.

Your prayers of intercession won’t have much power until you are first willing to lose everything and everyone for God to answer.

Prayers

• Heavenly Father, You are He who opened the mouth of the donkey to speak. You made the Sun stand still over Gibeon and Moon in the valley of Aijalon.
• Thank You, Father, for hearing every one of our prayers and giving us a prompt answer.
• Thank You for the power we have through prayer.
• Forgive us for not using this power to the fullness of its capacity.
• Forgive us for taking intercession and spiritual warfare lightly.
• We ask that we will grow spiritually and start to intercede for our family, our church, and our nation.
• Teach us how to pray according to Your will with power and authority.
• We declare that we will move mountains, set the captives free, and have testimonies to share because of the prayers you will make us pray.
• Teach us how to spiritually build a hedge to protect our lives and our loved ones against the power of Satan and sin.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen
