Trust In His Name

(Isaiah 50:10) “None of you respect the LORD or obey his servant. You walk in the dark instead of the light; you don’t trust the name of the LORD your God.”

(2 Timothy 2:13) “If we are not faithful, he will still be faithful. Christ cannot deny who he is.”

(1 Samuel 12:22) “Indeed, the LORD won’t abandon His people for the sake of His great name, for the LORD desires to make you a people for himself.”

Who doesn’t face problems in this life? Who hasn’t ever come to the end of His rope wondering if anything is worth doing at all? Day after day all we do is solve problems, face obstacles and struggle to survive from paycheck to paycheck. This is life, and it is tough, but it is your choice to face it alone or with God and the power He has made available to us.

Even if you don’t believe in God, there is unlimited power in His name and His Word. All of creation bows down to His words, this includes all demonic forces, sickness, lack, or death itself. God’s character, faithfulness, and love are all represented in His name, and when you pray in the name of Jesus, you are declaring all these attributes. God knows that we don’t truly trust in Him as He is not the first person we go to with our problems. We first try on our own, thinking this is what we are supposed to do when this is exactly the opposite of what His word says.

Once we are part of God’s family, He wants us to go to Him as children go to their father for all things. God will always be there for us even if we rebel against Him or disobey His commandments. Even if our faith fails in a time of weakness, His faithfulness and His promises will always work. He takes pride in being called our Father and wants to make sure that everyone else knows we belong to Him. For this very reason, for His name’s sake, He will help us and make us prosper in every area of our lives.

It’s like when you go to a dance club or an overbooked restaurant, or don’t want to wait in line to get into a concert. If you ask for the owner and claim that he knows you, the bouncer or manager inside will let you in and show you favor. And guess what, the Creator of the Universe acknowledges you by name once you have accepted Christ.

In my personal experience with Christ, He has answered my prayers and pulled me through even during my greatest failures to obey His commandments.  I have learnt to trust His name and His promises above every other word spoken or situation in my life. He has the last say in my health, in my finances, in my relationships, and overall in my life.

If you are still struggling on a regular basis with many areas of life, maybe it’s time to stop doing things your way and start to trust in His name.

Prayers

• Heavenly Father, You have stretched out the heavens like a curtain. He who counts the number of the stars and calls them all by name. He who seals off the stars.
• Thank You, Father, that in Your name there is Power to change anything in our lives.
• Thank You, that what Your name represents does not fade with time and we can stand firm on all the promises in Your Word.
• Thank You that Christ cannot deny Himself and will be faithful to His promises.
• Forgive us for not using the power of Your name when facing any obstacle in our lives.
• Forgive us for not understanding that You have put Your power inside of us through the name of Jesus.
• Give us today the boldness to approach You and ask for Your favor and authority.
• Teach us how to command the day into place by declaring Your name.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen

Wonderful. Need to go first to God with pur problems. As humans we have tendency to fight it on our own or follow what people say but that’s not the correct way to fight an obstacle.
