What Are You Waiting For?

(Exodus 40:34-36) “The cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tent. Moses was not able to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tent. Whenever the cloud was lifted up from the tent, the Israelis would set out on their journey.”

(Joshua 3:3) “giving orders to the people. They said, “When you see the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD your God being carried by the Levitical priests, then get up, leave where you are, and follow it.”

Winston Churchill said, “Perfection is the enemy of Progress”. This is so true and so many of us don’t move a finger until all things are to our favor, until we understand everything first, until we get the approval of the people we look up to until everything looks perfect to the eyes of a judgmental world, or until we have no doubt at all about the positive outcome. If this is the way you think, you are probably still waiting for things to change in your situation, while others have moved on leaving you far behind.

If you are a man waiting to be wealthy before getting married, you have put your marriage in the hands of money and not God. If you are also waiting for your parents to first approve of your decisions, then you will never mature in life. If you are waiting to be perfect in speech before preaching the Gospel, then you are trying to impress man instead of blessing them.

If you are waiting for a man or a ministry to give you a title before you start to train in God’s calling for ministry, then you will never have faith in God’s anointing over you. If you still depend on what others will think of you, you have not learned what it means to hear only the voice of the Holy Spirit, and fear is still your master.

God does not sleep nor slumber, nor wait for your approval before He takes decisions regarding your life. In God, there is no delay and no stagnation and His timing is perfect. We need to wake up, cancel fear, and start to move forward with God.

There is nothing worse than losing God’s timing, season, or plans for our lives. God will not wait long for you to get moving, He will eventually raise up someone else instead of you and anoint them for His great work.

If you are still waiting to have all the answers before surrendering to Christ, then you probably think God needs to justify Himself before you. If you are waiting for God to do a miracle for you first to prove His existence, then you will wait your whole life as according to His Word, His creation is proof enough.

God does not want you to be perfect, without sin, or even a good person before you surrender to Christ. He wants you as you are, so He can bring a change in you, wash your sins, and give you a life in abundance now and for all eternity.

Sherman Owen says “You will never arrive if you don’t set out. The tragedy of life is not that it ends too soon, but that we wait too long to begin it.”

Prayers

• Father, both riches and honour come of You, You don’t despise Your own that are in bonds, He who hears the groaning of the prisoners.
• Thank You, Father, that You are always moving forward with Your plans and not depending on anyone else.
• What You say, You will do. Thank You, that You never sleep nor slumber and that till today You are still working behind the scenes
• Forgive us for fearing lack, fearing failure and what man will say, and for giving an ear to the lies of Satan.
• We declare today that we will move forward in our calling, will fulfill every divine purpose, and that we will be in obedience to Your instructions
• Help us to recognize when You want us to move forward, and when you want to wait for further instructions.
• We cancel right now the spirit of fear from our lives, and declare Your love, Your power, and sound mind over everything.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
