(Luke 13:10-13) Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. A woman was there who had a spirit that had disabled her for eighteen years. She was hunched over and completely unable to stand up straight.”
“When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, ‘Woman, you are free from your illness.’ Then he placed his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and began praising God.”
(Psalms 34:8) “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.”
(Matthew 14:14) “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”
Sometimes all it takes is to be in the right place at the right time in order to receive your breakthrough. The problem is that you have no idea where or when that is. The woman we read about was healed after being disabled for 18 yrs. It was just another Church meeting for her, another year living with her sickness, another worship service where she could not stand up and dance for the Lord, nor raise her hands but only her heart. But after that day, her life was never the same.
Jesus happened to be teaching that day and when He saw her, He immediately had compassion for her and set her free from her sickness. She did not pray to Him, cry out to Him, and probably did not even think anything special about the fact that He was there. All she was doing was worshiping God with all her heart, her mind, and strength to the best of her abilities.
I don’t know her personal situation, but I imagine that making it regularly to the meetings was not an easy task because of her disability. Many of us barely make it on time to church. Most of us don’t even attend the pre-service prayer meetings or stay for the after-service fellowship. I guess we have better things to do than to stay in the presence of God where He loves to manifest His power.
Maybe you or someone you know has been struggling for years to get out of a problem or straighten their lives with no success. Invite them to a meeting. Even if it is online, Christ will see their heart’s desire to receive their deliverance and show compassion. I could write a book about all the supernatural miracles that have occurred during a church meeting.
Jesus will not ask you anything in return, to join a church, to take baptism, to pay your tithes, to give up your idols, or to live a righteous life. He just loves you and wants you to try and see that He is good. After that, it is entirely up to you what you do with your new life.
It’s time to get yourself out of your problem and get to the right place at the right time. That place is Jesus and the time is NOW!
