Doing and Staying in God’s Will

(John 15:10) “If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.”

(Isaiah 58:10-11) “If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the needs of afflicted souls, then your light will rise in darkness, and your night will be like noonday. And the LORD will guide you continuously, and satisfy your soul in parched places, and they will strengthen your bones; and you’ll be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.”

(John 3:17) “Because God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.”

The God of the Bible is holy, just, fair, and above all loving and compassionate. We understand very clearly by reading John chapter 3 that Jesus was sent, not to condemn us, but to save us. Our sins, rebellion, and Satan are more than enough to show us our mistakes and continue to live our whole life feeling condemned and judged.

All our struggles are a direct result of wrong choices or wrongs done to us by others. It’s a sinful world, full of sinful people, with sinful thoughts, and guess what, you and I are no saints. Most of us live with no hope whatsoever for a brighter future. This is exactly what Jesus came to do…give us a bright hope and a future in God.

God’s will is not for us to live in this false bondage to sin in any way, but rather it is to use us to bless others as we continue to increase in our personal blessings and abundance in life. It’s a beautiful cycle that when surrendered into God’s hands brings heaven down to earth. This is His promise.

If we think of Him first, by first thinking of others…He will think of us and make sure we shine with His light wherever there is darkness. Imagine how this world would be if we all, and I mean all started putting others first? Exactly…it would be what God intended from the very beginning.

If we chose to obey this commandment, He will continually guide us, and make sure we are satisfied while others continue to feel lack in the same situation. He will strengthen us and make sure our source of abundance never runs dry.

Do you want this for your life? Then make sure you first get spent for God by getting worn out for others. This is how we fulfill His will, stay in it and abide in His love.

• Heavenly Father, You are He who visits His flock and makes them as His royal horse in the battle. You led Your people like a flock. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
• Thank You that you have made a way for us to abide in Your love.
• Forgive us for thinking that You are a cruel and unfair God, instead of understanding Your true loving and forgiving nature.
• We want to submit to Your original plan for mankind. Help us to fulfill the needs in our community, church, and family with all we have.
• We declare that we will shine in the darkness around us by being spent for the needs of others and bring glory to Your name.
• Use us to change the lives of others through prayer and giving to those in need.
• We receive right now the abundance that comes with abiding in Your love and obeying your commandments in Jesus’s name.
• Let our deserted places no longer be desolate or lacking fruits. Let us be like a watered garden never lacking any good thing again.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen
