Face God With Boldness

(Colossians 2:14) “having erased the charges that were brought against us, along with their obligations that were hostile to us. He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross.”

(Genesis 3:10) “I heard your voice in the garden,” the man answered, “and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid from you.”

(Hebrews 4:16) “So let us keep on coming boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Being open in a relationship can be scary and rewarding at the same time. It’s scary because we have to confess all our faults and become vulnerable to guilt, shame, and mockery. But it is also liberating as we stop hiding behind a fake mask and can truly be ourselves. Even though this is the goal of all human relationships, once we achieve this with God, we truly start to live in the supernatural and can embrace the fullness of God’s love for us.

The Word teaches us that God took all the charges against us made by men and the devil and nailed them to the cross. This means they were completely erased and we can now face God with confidence, without guilt or shame of our past. Imagine being able to do that in a relationship where you have really messed up.

Well, with God this is real as has chosen to love us beyond our failures. Not only does God not remind us of our fallen past, but He commands us to come to Him boldly and ask for anything we desire. The devil, however, will try and tell you differently, but once you become a child of God, you are a beneficiary of this promise.

When Adam and Eve sinned, instead of going to God and asking for forgiveness, they hid in fear and shame. All of a sudden not only did they feel uncomfortable in God’s presence but even with each other, for the first time they felt naked in front of each other and had to cover their bodies. This gives us an insight into how the devil twists our thoughts regarding who God is and who we are in God.

Mankind is still hiding their fears, weaknesses, and love from each other. We manipulate others with our words in order to create a fake identity, and men fake their faith in church in order to find a spouse. Even preachers hide behind loud sermons that only speak to our emotions, in order for us not to see their lack of anointing or insecurities because they have not sought the Holy Spirit.

Only if you have surrendered to Christ can you enjoy this freedom of standing blameless before God. Therefore get into God’s presence and start to enjoy the fullness of His love for you.

Prayers

• Holy Ghost, You are the Spirit of the Son; Spirit of adoption; The Counsellor; The Spirit of supplication; The Spirit who dwells in us and yearns jealously.
• Thank You, Father, for nailing all the accusations against us to the cross.
• Thank You, that no one can point a finger at us anymore regarding our past failures.
• Forgive us for listening to the lies of Satan and believing that You won’t truly forgive us.
• Forgive us for hiding from you in shame instead of coming to You as to a loving Father.
• Teach us how to openly stand in Your presence knowing we are now blameless and loved by You.
• Let us come and ask boldly for whatever we need and expect You to give it to us simply because You love us.
• We cancel right now the spirit of guilt, of shame, of hiding, of fear of becoming vulnerable.
• Teach us, Lord, how to be honest and love everyone regardless of how we feel.
• We declare that we will find grace from You in our time of need.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
