How To Fight Fear

Fear and intimidation are of the Devil and they paralyze us. But trust, confidence and peace are from God which set us free. The only way to defeat both, fear and intimation from the Devil is with the Word of God. The only way to destroy his lies is to speak the truth of God about, first, who God is and second, who you are in Christ.

It is fear of the future, that drives most people to drink and gives them sleepless nights, fear of failure that stops you from taking risks, prospering, or asking for that promotion; and a deep fear of what people will say that stops you from going deeper in God’s calling upon your life.

Therefore, today we are going to recite some promises of God and pray using them. Do this regularly and watch a drastic change regarding how you speak, think, and what you expect in life.

1. (Isaiah 41:10) “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

2. (Deuteronomy 20:4) “For the LORD your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

3. (1 Chronicles 28:20) “… Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God… will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee…”

4. (Proverbs 29:25) “The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”

5. (Isaiah 43:1) “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

6. (Psalms 27:1) “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

7. (Hebrews 13:5-6) “…for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

8. (2 Timothy 1:7) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
