Get Up And Try Again!

(Proverbs 24:15-16) “Don’t lie in wait like an outlaw to attack where the righteous live; for though a righteous man falls seven times, he will rise again, but the wicked stumble into calamity.”

(Isaiah 41:10) “Don’t be afraid, because I’m with you; don’t be anxious, because I am your God. I keep on strengthening you; I’m truly helping you. I’m surely upholding you with my victorious right hand.”

We all face some kind of failure on a daily basis, some more than others. We fail at showing unconditional love, keeping our peace, spending time alone with God, completing the tasks we planned for the day, meeting deadlines, at not committing that hidden sin, and at our overall expectation of what we want to get out of life. The only ones that don’t experience this are dead. Then how come some continue to succeed and overcome obstacles while others stay down and never rise again?

They say that successful people fail 40% of the time they try something, and unsuccessful ones fail 60% of the time. The difference is very small, but apparently, it makes all the difference. It all depends on how you handle your failure. Either you condemn yourself and accept what the devil is saying about you, or you do what God says and get up and try again until He tells you otherwise.

Your background, money, talent, charisma, and passion might have a lot to do with your success, but they are nothing compared to what God can do through you. When you surrender to Christ, you are considered righteous, that is without sin in the eyes of God. One of the attributes of the righteous is that they get back up after every failure.

When we decide to make God part of our success story, God promises that He will back us up, strengthen us and help us. Now that is enough for me to try again and again without fearing the outcome. Only by holding God’s hand will you be able to change your life around and achieve all those things that He has planned for you. Only when you know that He is backing you up will you be able to take again that step of faith.

You need to stop existing and start living. It all begins when you get up and try again and again until your dying day.

• Heavenly Father, You are He who made the sea into dry land. You broke open the fountain and the flood. You dried up mighty rivers.
• Thank You, Father, for being with us and for being our God.
• Thank You for being with us, and upholding us with Your victorious hand.
• Forgive us for giving up so easily and for giving ear to the lies of Satan.
• Forgive us for not truly believing that You consider us righteous and that You are pleased with us.
• Teach us how to continue fighting the good fight even if we fail on a daily basis.
• We surrender all our failures at Your feet and burn all the condemning words with Holy Ghost fire.
• We declare that the wicked people that rise up against us will fall into calamity.
• Nothing and no one can stop us from experiencing the victory You have prepared for us.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen
