His Hand at Work

 

(Psalms 37:23-24) “A man’s steps are established by the LORD, and the LORD delights in his way. Though he stumbles, he will not fall down flat, for the LORD will hold up his hand.”

(Genesis 45:4-7) “Joseph implored his brothers, ‘Please come close to me.’ So they did. ‘ I’m your brother Joseph, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt!’ he told them. ‘But don’t be distressed or angry at yourselves because you sold me here, because God sent me ahead of you all in order to deliver us. That’s because this famine has been going on for two years now in this region, and there are still five years left, during which there won’t be any plowing or harvesting. God sent me ahead of you to keep you alive on the earth, and to save you all in a magnificent way.’ ”

Are you facing a period of doubting your every move or wondering if there is any purpose in what you are doing? Do you feel inadequate for any of the tasks needed to be accomplished today, or do you feel God chose the wrong person for the job? Are you financially so broke that you are constantly humbled by others? Do you feel that everything you have suffered is unfair even though you made all the right choices under your particular circumstances? If you do, then that is exactly where God wants you.

Now that you feel completely useless and incapable of achieving simple goals, is when God can lift you up to unachievable heights and make sure that no amount of money, fame, lust, or success will draw you away from Him.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers in a rage of jealousy because he was favored by both his father, Jacob, and God. Joseph was the youngest and actually a tattle tale and full of pride for the prophetic dreams God gave him.

As a slave, Joseph was falsely accused of trying to rape his owner’s wife and thrown into jail and forgotten of for a few years. All this time, Joseph must have doubted where God was and if He even cared. He must have wondered what good was he for God or anyone else at all.

But at the right time and with the right purpose, God made him shine with supernatural wisdom by interpreting a dream Pharaoh had that showed the future devastation that was about to hit the country. Then, Pharaoh placed him in a place of authority and God used Him to save his family and the whole Hebrew nation from extinction due to the famine that hit the land.

His hand has been working a great plan for you and soon all shall see it. Continue to trust Him and make sure you don’t lose hope. He is faithful.

Prayers

• Heavenly Father, You are He who turns the shadow of death into morning, He who brings the shadow of death into light.
• Forgive us for doubting that You continue to work behind the scenes and know what You are doing.
• We decide to trust in Your plan for our lives and ask for forgiveness if we have ever doubted Your decisions.
• Help us not lose hope due to our current circumstances or troubles we are facing.
• We cancel any lack, depression, delay, sense of inadequacy, and feeling sorry for ourselves in Jesus’ name.
• We declare that we will no longer look back with regret, but look forward to how you are going to change our situation.
• Thankyou you for keeping us humble and not forgetting that all we have achieved is through you. Help us to give to others, just like you have given onto us.
