Once and For All

(Hebrews 10:10-12) By God’s will we have been sanctified once and for all through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus, the Messiah. Day after day every priest stands and repeatedly offers the same sacrifices that can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, “he sat down at the right hand of God.”

(1 Peter 2:24) “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the tree, so that we might die to those sins and live righteously. “By his wounds you have been healed.”

The forgiveness of our sins on the cross is truly an amazing work. Not only because it washes away ALL our sins, yes all, no matter how evil or dark, but it was done once and for all. There is no need for another blood sacrifice of innocent animals every year like it was done by the priests in the Old Testament. It is not a burden we need to carry anymore. But God did it once through Jesus Christ and it covers all our past, present, and future sins. All we have to do is to confess our sins to Him and ask for forgiveness. In other words, to repent, which means to change our way of thinking and stop doing what we are doing wrong.

Christ took upon himself all the deceases of the world, and all the curses so that we could be set free from them. Our responsibility is to now understand that we are set free from our past and that we can now live a good and righteous life. There is no excuse for any of the sins we are constantly committing as according to the Word we are now dead to sin. If you do continue to sin, it is because you chose to do it or somehow you actually enjoy doing it. Think about it… the vast majority of all your conscious sins are exactly that….conscious. You know what you are doing, you know the consequences, and you know it is against God’s will, yet you still do it.

Let us no longer walk around blaming, temptation, Satan, others, or circumstances for the sins we commit. This way we will be able to take charge, and through the saving work on the cross be victorious until the end. You are your biggest enemy and your biggest hindrance to getting closer to Jesus. Make a decision today, to change that.

Prayers

• Father, You are the true Life-Giver. All of life was and is created by You and is dependent on You.

• Forgive us for taking the sacrifice of Jesus for granted and for not having understood what You have set us free from.
• We declare right now that we are no longer affected by any disease, as Jesus took them all upon Himself.
• We declare now that we are no longer accursed as Jesus took them all upon Him.
• We are loved, we are sanctified, and we are empowered to live a righteous life pleasing onto You.

• We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
