Ready to Meet God?

(Romans 3:10-11) “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.”

(Romans 3:23-24) “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”

(Acts 16:31) “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

There is one appointment we cannot delay, ignore or cancel, and that is meeting our Creator. No matter what faith you grew up in, the one fact that we cannot change is that one day we will die and leave our physical bodies behind. Are you ready if it was to happen today? Bear in mind that you are not merely a body, but you are actually a Spirit and a Soul that live inside a Body.

Atheists go as far as completely ignoring God and believing that there is nothing after death and that we basically cease to exist. Reincarnation teaches that we have another chance to do things right and not face eternal judgment and separation from God. This idea of Karma puts your eternal destiny on a mathematical formula that weighs your good and bad deeds, which by the way you have no idea of your current total.

Meeting God can be something that either scares you or brings you joy, it all depends on if you have prepared to meet Him. According to the Christian faith, only through Christ can we avoid eternal judgment and separation from God. If you examine yourself, you will see that you have sinned and broken some of God’s commandments like lying, stealing, adultery, or coveting, therefore you are in danger of facing condemnation. But then again, who hasn´t?

This issue will only seem important to you when you realize that you will be standing alone when you meet your Creator, and only you will have to give an account of your actions. God is fair in all He does and He has clearly stated that ignorance regarding Christ and what He offers is not an excuse not to be judged.

I encourage you today to take a step of faith and bet on the promises in the Bible that say that if we confess our sins to God and accept Christ, He is faithful and just to erase all our sins.

It’s a simple step that guarantees your salvation and puts part of the burden on God to make sure you make it to heaven. Trust me, you have nothing to lose not worth losing by just trying out Jesus.
