Seeing God

 

(Matthew 5:8) “How blessed are those who are pure in heart, because it is they who will see God!”

(Psalms 51:10) “God, create a pure heart in me, and renew a right attitude within me.”

(John 15:3) “You are already clean because of what I’ve spoken to you.”

 

The Bible promises that we will see God. Just like every promise in the Bible, it is not bound to when we will die and be in His presence, but it is for us now…. If we want it. The same goes for salvation. It is not for when you die, but salvation is to know God personally now through Jesus. Therefore if you have surrendered to Jesus and cannot experience, feel his presence, or hear God, then somewhere there is a problem. God will never fail to His word or promises, rather it is we who need to change something in our lives.

We desperately need a cleansing of our hearts and minds in order to be considered pure and see God. Everything we listen to and watch on a daily basis contaminates our minds and we are no longer able to feel God’s presence. He is everywhere, and His creation is aware of it, but we have become so filled with filth that we no longer experience or see Him. Being of a simple mind is vital to experience the fullness of God.

The best way to cleanse our hearts is to constantly take in God’s Word. No matter what your addiction, character flaw, weakness in the mind, or level of depression, enough of God’s word will flush out all the darkness, demons, and filth you have taken in.

If we deny God’s provision for cleansing our hearts, we will still depend on what carnal man has to offer for what is a spiritual problem. The change might not be right away, but eventually, it will come.

Being “world smart/street smart” will make you “God stupid”.

Prayers

• Jesus, You are My Hope, My Husbandman and My Creator.
• Thank You for your promises in Your Word.
• We stand firm on every promise today and declare that You are faithful to them.
• Forgive us for not having a pure heart and for desiring the evil of the world.
• Forgive us for not seeking You with all of our heart, mind and soul.
• Give us the simple minds needed to hear Your voice, understand Your Word and obey Your commandments.
• Create in me a clean heart today Lord, so that I can see You through Christ.
• Keep us away from those things or people that have blurred our vision and damped our hearing.
• We declare that we are cleansed today because of the Word we have heard.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
