(1 Corinthians 15:52) “in a moment, faster than an eye can blink, at the sound of the last trumpet. Indeed, that trumpet will sound, and then the dead will be raised never to decay, and we will be changed.”
(Philippians 2:10-11) “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
There are over three hundred prophesies in the Old Testament about the first coming of the Messiah that Jesus fulfilled. However, we have thousands of Prophesies about His return to earth a second time to rule and reign. Even the ancient scriptures of the Hindu Vedas talk about a God coming in the form of man to earth to die for our sins. The Quran mentions the return of the Messiah, Jesus, to earth as well. So one thing we cannot deny is that Christ came to earth in the past and is returning soon for those who have accepted Him in their hearts.
The Bible assures us that at the sounding of the last trumpet, in the twinkling of an eye, everything will be changed, and the world we know will come to an end. First of all, those who died following Christ will come back to life with a new body, and the Disciples of Christ still alive will be transformed from having a corruptible body to a supernatural one that will not be bound to the laws of physics.
We won’t experience death or decay, will be able to go through walls, and tele transport ourselves from one location to another in an instant just like Philip did in the book of Acts.
What the Last Trumpet represents is interpreted in different ways, but what is for sure is that it will be heard around the whole earth. Some believe that the trumpet represents the return of Jesus after a series of devastating events, while others interpret the trumpet as a sound of a call to battle. We can debate what it represents all day, but we cannot deny that it will definitely happen, and that everyone will see Jesus return after that, and that it can happen at any moment.
No matter when it happens or how it happens, there will be one thing that all humans will have to do. Every one of us will have to bow down and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord. Yes, everyone. Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Satanists, Atheists, Homosexuals, adulterers, rich, poor, and even the fallen angels.
However, some will confess that Jesus is Lord with joy in their hearts because they have been forgiven for their sins and have accepted Jesus as their only Lord and Savior, while others will confess it with remorse and grinding their teeth as they will be facing judgment and complete separation in Hell.
It’s completely your choice how you will bow when Jesus returns, either in total defeat and sorrow or in total reverence and victory.
Prayers
• Lord, You are a Diadem of beauty, A Child and Son, gracious and full of compassion.
• Thank You, Father, for the promise of the Messiah that would take away our sins forever.
• Thank You that because of the prophesies fulfilled we can expect the return of our savior at any time.
• Forgive us of any conscious sin that would not make us worthy of being those that will reign and rule with Jesus upon His return.
• Thank You that we will be transformed into a new body in the twinkling of an eye.
• Keep us vigilant Lord and expecting your return.
• We ask that we be from those that will bow down in joy and victory declaring that Jesus is our Lord.
• We ask that those we are praying for will also have the joy we will have and that none will be lost for eternity in Hell.
• We declare right now that Jesus Christ is the only Lord, only God, and only Savior.
•
• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
