How God Works

(Isaiah 46:10) “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”

(Jeremiah 29:11) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

The key to living a stress-free life is to know how God works and to get a glimpse of what HE knows.  God is the author, director, producer, music composer, special effects technician, and promoter of the movie of your life.  He already knows how the story unfolds depending on all your choices in life and has all the different endings worked out.  All we have to do is make sure that we make the right choices and have a good ending.

It reminds me of some of my favorite adventure and mystery books I read as a child. One would have to make choices that would completely change the direction of the story and it had multiple endings depending on the choices you made.

If we ever get lost or confused during an episode in our lives, we can always go ask the author and director what is happening and what is the purpose behind such difficulties, trials, and delay.  Once He shows us the big picture, we will understand how great and wonderful the plans for our lives are.  We will realize that we are not just an extra in this movie, but we are the protagonist that stands victorious in the last scene.

Regardless of how we decide to live our lives, God always keeps on warning us when we make wrong choices and patiently waits for us to correct our mistakes.  However, even if we completely go off script and totally change the storyline, He has the ability to change the future and make all things work out to our benefit, as long as we choose to love Him and surrender to Jesus.

When you keep these things in mind, you will start to seek His perfect and acceptable will for your life.  Then, and only then, will He answer and give you complete peace regardless of what storm you are facing.  By trusting that He knows all things, sees all things, and can change all things, you will have a prosperous and abundant life.  However, God will only reveal His will to His children and in order to be His children, we have to have Christ as our Lord.

When others see the peace you have by trusting Jesus, they will be attracted to you and you will be able to be used by Him to bring light and hope in a world of darkness.

  • You are God who sustains me. God who had fed me all my lifelong to this day.  I know God, You are for me.
  • We thank You, Lord that your thoughts for us are of good and not of evil. That Your plans for us a far better than what we could imagine.
  • Forgive us for not asking Your council on every decision in our lives, no matter how small the outcome.
  • Help us to surrender completely all things to Jesus and to continue to depend on Him.
  • We thank You that if we repent and receive Jesus in our hearts, You will take charge of our future and make all things right.
  • We ask You right now that you have mercy over us and cancel all the negative consequences of our past mistakes. Let us be a testimony of Your love and mercy for all that know our past.
  • We declare that You know our end from our beginning and that only You truly care for us and that Your plans are the best for us.
  • We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
