It’s Working for You

(2 Corinthians 4:14-18) “We know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us to God together with you. All this is for your sake so that, as his grace spreads, more and more people will give thanks and glorify God. That’s why we are not discouraged. No, even if outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are being renewed each and every day.”

“This light, temporary nature of our suffering is producing for us an everlasting weight of glory, far beyond any comparison, because we do not look for things that can be seen but for things that cannot be seen. For things that can be seen are temporary, but things that cannot be seen are eternal.”

(Romans 8:28) “And we know that for those who love God, that is, for those who are called according to his purpose, all things are working together for good.”

If you are currently facing a time of struggle and pain, don’t worry, it’s seasonal. However, if it’s the opposite, then be alert as this is also seasonal. Both times of blessings and lack, times of tremendous joy and sadness, and times of refuge and fear are part of our daily Christian walk. This way we will have a testimony for all as it will give us empathy for those that are suffering and at the same time allow us to speak words of hope for a bright future.

There are those that believe that if one is in God’s will, life is a bed of roses, sunshine, ice cream, and feasts. This is not Biblical and those that preach this have truly not had their faith tested nor have they increased in the knowledge of Christ.

(“There are times when everything you attempt to do will seem to go wrong. Regardless of your faith and your consecration, adversity will come. You can’t pray away God’s seasons. The Lord has a purpose for not allowing you to be fruitful all the time. You need seasons of struggle as well as seasons of success. These times destroy pride in our own ability and increase our dependency upon God.”
“Paul says these light afflictions are only for a moment. Because you can’t change it, doesn’t mean you can’t survive it. If you can’t alter it – outlive it! Be like a tree. In winter it silently refurbishes its strength, preparing for the next season of fruitfulness. If you look back at your accomplishments, you’ll notice that they are seasonal.” – Bob Gass)

God knows what He is doing, and why He is doing it. All we have to do is continue to trust Him and depend completely on the power of the resurrection of Christ. If you are truly loving God and Jesus is first in your life, it will all work out for your benefit and for those you encounter.

• Jesus, You are like a gazelle of a young stag, You are loved by virgins, You are loved by the righteous.
• Thank You, Father, for watching over us and being concerned with everything in our lives.
• We know You love us and that You will always take care of us.
• Forgive us for doubting You in our times of struggle and help us to completely surrender to Your will.
• We declare that this current struggle will also pass and we will come out stronger and filled with power.
• Allow us to make the most of every situation and use it as a testimony for your glory.
• We declare that every season of suffering is producing in us an everlasting weight of glory, far beyond any comparison.
• We call on the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and ask you to raise us up today above every situation.

• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
