(2 Corinthians 12:8-9) “I pleaded with the Lord three times to take it away from me, but he has told me, “My grace is all you need, because my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most happily boast about my weaknesses, so that the Messiah’s power may rest on me.”
(Psalms 84:11) “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD grants grace and favor; the LORD will not withhold any good thing from those who walk blamelessly.”(Romans 3:24) “By his grace they are justified freely through the redemption that is in the Messiah Jesus,”
Grace gets activated when you have reached the end of your rope. You can only truly appreciate it when you have failed on your own, when you have been completely abandoned by others and when all your plans have been turned upside down. We call on God’s grace when we get that negative report from the doctor, when the bank threatens us, or when we realize that only the blood of Jesus can pay for our sins.
As long as we continue to choose God first in all things, His grace will always show us favor, allow us to be fruitful, and make us walk in the supernatural. Even the fact that you can receive this message today in your spirit is because of His grace. You are trusting His Word as true and you are not depending on your own logic or understanding. This is one of the keys that allows Grace to overflow over our lives.
We will only know how strong God is in our lives when we have come to the end of our natural strength. It is not a pleasant experience as it will stretch your faith to its limits. If you are too proud to ask God’s intervention into your life, you will never be able to understand grace, nor enjoy it, nor testify about it.
Learn to allow God’s grace to take over, and the agony will change into strength that will push you to victory and a testimony of how big Jesus is in your life. Apostle Paul pleaded with God not once, twice, but three times, showing us how desperate he was to get the devil off his back. But he understood grace and accepted it as part of his training.
A song by Steven Curtis Chapman says “His strength is perfect when our strength is gone. He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on. Raised in His power, the weak become strong… His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect.”
Reach for His enabling Grace today, and you’ll discover it’s sufficient for what lies ahead. Tomorrow do it again and you will see an increase in the Grace as you have learned to depend on it.
Prayers
• Heavenly Father, You shall deliver me in six troubles, yes, in seven no evil shall touch me. You will bring me into the strong city. You are He who teaches my hands to make war.
• We thank You, Father, for the grace you have shown us by allowing us to become your children through Jesus Christ.
• Thank You that when we fail, your grace covers us and you only see Jesus and show us more love.
• Forgive us for losing hope in the promises in Your Word.
• Forgive us for not understanding that the grace you are giving us will completely fulfill all our needs.
• We ask that today, as we admit that we are nothing without You, that your grace will be activated and take over every area of our lives.
• We want to recognize and testify of your grace to everyone we know.
• We declare that You are a sun and shield; You grant grace and favor; and that You will not withhold any good thing from us as we walk blameless before you.
•
• We ask in Jesus’s Mighty name – Amen.
