(2 Timothy 4:1-2) “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-3) “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;”
The worst thing that can happen to you is to be out of season. Either too late or too early and miss out on what God had planned for you. When I was in the family business importing items from China to Europe, we would always take risks on new items offered at trade fairs. Sometimes we would get great products but a year too early or too late for the European market, thus enduring a great loss and having to sell those products below cost. But at other times we would be right on time and would cover expenses for the next few months with one item on demand.
For example, have you seen those running shoes with small wheels that pop out and convert them into skates? We imported those a couple of years too early and practically had to give them away. However, we were one of the first companies to import the emergency triangle required by law in Spain to have in every vehicle and covered many months of expenses with the profit made.
Be aware of what is happening around you in order to see what God is doing. Being stuck in your ways or traditions will only stop you from experiencing God on a whole new level. God does not stay stagnant, neither do His plans for you.
I have always served in a ministry with many activities and personal contact with people. However, God led us to go completely online, which has been a success due to the pandemic. We completely changed our focus from only feeding the sheep to focusing more on reaching out to the LOST sheep through social media.
The ability to change is a sign of personal growth and maturity. Learn to be ready to adapt and change to whatever situation or person you are facing. Don’t be afraid if there is a season of rest, where there are no activities, no socializing, or no traveling like you used to. God is preparing you for the next season when you will not have time to sit down and feel sorry for yourself.
The only time we are safe from being out of season is when we preach the gospel. You will always be right on time.
Prayers
• Heavenly Father, You are He who sits in the heaven, The Lord who is in His temple, The Lord who is upon many waters.
• Thank You that you have established a season for every purpose in our lives.
• Thank You that in your timing we are always in season and fruitful with all we do.
• Forgive us for not seeking You before we decide to change seasons.
• Forgive us for becoming stagnant and fearing change in our lives.
• Teach us how to recognize when You are changing seasons for us and to be at peace knowing that You are in control.
• We declare that we are entering today a new season that is fruitful, it is in Your time, and it is profitable onto us.
• We declare that we will no longer miss our chance or our divine season.
• Give us the confidence and boldness to preach Your message no matter what we are facing and no matter what season we are in.
•
• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
