(Ecclesiastes 3:1) “There is a season for everything, and a time for every event under heaven:”
(Ephesians 5:15-17) “So, then, be careful how you live. Do not be unwise but wise, making the best use of your time because the times are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
(John 17:4) “I glorified you on earth by completing the task you gave me to do.”
Time management is not necessarily being organized or efficient with calendars and apps that schedule down to your bathroom breaks. It is actually being able to prioritize what is important and focus most of your energy on those things. Most importantly it is focusing on oneself and one’s desires in life instead of what others expect of You. However, nothing can be achieved in the 24 hrs you have in a day unless you first consult with the creator of time, that’s right, God.
When I worked with a multilevel marketing company we were taught to prioritize our activities based on what we wanted to achieve in life. If we wanted to make money, then do first those activities that will bring us a profit. Then do all other activities to relax, study, socialize, go shopping…etc.
Life will go nowhere until you learn to value your time and especially God’s time and how it works. He can do or undo what you have achieved in the past 20 years in a second. You need to stop being anxious about tomorrow, next month, or next year and start to value this next hour. The time you have wasted worrying, you could have spent asking God to intervene in that situation. Stop wasting the time you have worrying about the time you don’t have.
Learn to take one problem at a time and don’t worry if you don’t complete all the tasks. By understanding that God is the one to whom we have surrendered all things to, we can be assured that all things will be accomplished in His time and it will be perfect. Take on His tasks first and don’t be worn out by what others want you to do for them. Learn to set yourself apart for your own needs, and learn to say NO once in a while.
If you are walking correctly with Christ, then the time, energy, resources, and gifts you have are more than enough to accomplish all He has purposed for you. By surrendering to Him, you will get your priorities in order. And by accomplishing your divine tasks you will bring glory to the Father.
If you are running out of time, then you are probably involved in activities or with people that are stealing the time God has given you.
Prayers
• Heavenly Father, Your words are faithful and worthy of all acceptance. O! God, Your word is living and powerful. Your word is like a fire and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces.
• Thank you, Father, that You control time and seasons.
• Thank You, that You have a perfect timing for all things concerning us.
• Forgive us for wasting our time after the things of the world instead of the things of the Kingdom of Heaven.
• Forgive us for wasting time worrying about tomorrow instead of putting our trust in You.
• We ask that you help us organize our day so that we invest first in Your tasks for us.
• Teach us how to produce first in the spirit and then in the natural.
• We submit all our plans, tasks, projects, and dreams at the feet of Christ.
• We receive the wisdom to do what is right at the right time.
• Give us the boldness to avoid the activities and people that steal our time.
•
• We ask in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen
